Neowin has obtained a full list of all fixes due for Windows 2000 SP4 and the final build of Windows 2000 SP4. The list is supplied to Microsoft's premier customers. There are 669 Public fixes, 6 partner only fixes and 675 fixes in total.
We previously reported that SP4 would RTP (release to premier) on the 16th of June and RTW (release to web) on the 18th of June. According to Bink this date slipped back to the 25th and today we can bring you exclusive download links and a full fix list for Windows 2000 SP4
The build number according to ntoskrnl.exe is 5.0.2195.6717

Microsoft heeft een 'servicepack' uitgebracht die een groot aantal problemen moeten oplossen in het besturingssysteem Windows2000. Een deel van de softwareplakkers was al eerder beschikbaar, Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 is 129 MB klein.
Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 is vanaf vandaag beschikbaar als download. Microsoft raadt iedereen die de Engelstalige versie van Windows 2000 draait aan om het pakket te installeren. In totaal worden er 668 grote en kleine problemen mee opgelost.
Wie de lijst leest, vraagt zich af hoe het mogelijk is dat Windows 2000 uberhaupt draait, maar dat is schijn. De meeste problemen zijn nogal exotisch van aard en zullen bij de meeste configuraties niet voorkomen. Windows 2000 staat bekend als stabiel. Ruim 90 plakkers hebben betrekking op beveiligingsproblemen in het besturingssysteem.
Het Service Pack is bedoeld voor alle Windows 2000 versies, maar momenteel zijn er alleen nog een Engelstalige en een Duitstalige versie beschikbaar. Wie niet wil of kan downloaden kan het pakket tegen een vergoeding bestellen op cd-rom, het downloaden is gratis.
