We received a press release from Ahead software about the upcoming features we can expect from Nero 6.0. Currently we are at the Nero 5.5x stage and there was hardly any information about what Ahead had planned for their 6.0 version. According to the press release the following functions will be made available in that upcoming version.
Nero 6 - an improved and even more reliable CD/DVD burning software that is based on Nero's powerful burning engine!
Nero Vision 2.0 - DVD Authoring at its best, offers full DVD/VCD/SVCD authoring as well as the recording capability with detailed menu design and one-button editing and direct to disc recording! (Rivals Pinnacle 8 and far more advance than Roxio's DVD Builder)
Backitup - a complete comprehensive backup solution that offers full reliable backups not just a false bootable data disc (Roxio's disc copier)
Unlimited MP3 & MP3pro encoders - for any level and compression of audio encoding.
Nero SmartStart - is a project launcher that auto-launches and allows the user to choose between Nero 6 advanced and Nero 6 beginner applications.
Nero Soundtrax - provides the user with every tool needed to make professionally mastered audio CDs.
Nero Cover Designer - is a high-end graphical application with CD/DVD cover templates, CD/DVD label templates and business card templates that offer convenient text editing features.
API (Application Program Interface) - provides added value to their own applications by adding a feature that will enable their users to take advantage of Nero's advanced CD-R/RW functionality without opening Nero
With the release the company directly attacks competitor Roxio, which has opened the doors for orders on their latest software package Easy CD/DVD Creator 6. As Ahead adds: "We feel that consumers need to be educated about what is on the horizon before they spend their hard earned money, when they can get a more complete package for less in a couple of months".
Ahead plans to release the software in the next couple of months and if you want to upgrade from 5.(5).x you will have to pay an additional fee.

Zozo...18 Juli schijnt de officiele download beschikbaar te zijn voor ons...ze komen in 2 versies: Nero 6 en Nero Burning Rom 6..
Bij deze link kunnen jullie een korte samenvatting zien hoe nero 6 eruit gaat zien en wat functies etcetc
